About CelebrityRoasts.net

We still laugh at the good stuff.

CelebrityRoasts.net is put together by a small team of comedy lovers who grew up watching — or later discovered — the great roasts, variety shows, nightclub comics and television personalities of the 1960s through the 1990s.

We built the site because too much classic comedy is scattered across old recordings, forgotten television appearances and isolated video clips. Our goal is simple: bring those performances together, organize them by the people involved, and make it easier to rediscover the comedians, actors, athletes, singers and other celebrities who made these shows memorable.

We are not a television network or a giant media company. We are fans building a growing entertainment archive, one clip and one personality page at a time. The collection will keep expanding as we find worthwhile material and add better descriptions, background information and connections between performers.

Most of all, the site is meant to be fun. The old roasts could be sharp, silly, outrageous and occasionally merciless — but the best of them were built around performers who understood the joke and knew how to give it right back.
