Roaster & Roastee Profile

Bette Davis

One of Hollywood’s most formidable stars brought a lifetime of sharp edges, famous roles and unmistakable attitude to the roast format.

Bette Davis had the kind of screen persona comedians could work with instantly: imperious, witty and larger than life. Her appearances in the current collection include her own Woman of the Week program and roasts by Barbara Heller, Henry Fonda and Howard Cosell.
