Roaster & Roastee Profile

Ted Knight

The man behind Ted Baxter, television’s most pompous anchorman, knew exactly how to play a blowhard — and how to laugh when the joke was on him.

Knight won two Emmys as the vain, clueless newsman Ted Baxter and later starred in Too Close for Comfort and Caddyshack. His gift for blustering self-importance made him a natural on the roast dais. This page collects every current clip in which he appears.
