About this clip
Bette Davis - Woman of the Week
Bette Davis was one of classic Hollywood’s most celebrated dramatic actresses, famous for forceful performances, formidable screen presence and a famously independent personality.
The clip uses the familiar roast format—mock praise, exaggeration and carefully aimed jokes—to turn the featured subject into the evening’s comic target.
