About this clip
Bob Newhart Roasts Don Rickles
Bob Newhart brings his famously low-key, deadpan delivery to a roast of Don Rickles, the loudest insult comic in the business. The contrast is the joke: the quiet, stammering everyman calmly taking apart his longtime real-life friend, who spent a career attacking everyone else at full volume.
