About this clip
Chet Huntley Roasts Don Rickles - Friars Club
Chet Huntley was a television news anchor known for co-hosting NBC’s Huntley–Brinkley Report. Don Rickles was the master insult comic whose rapid-fire put-downs made him a feared and beloved fixture at celebrity roasts.
In this clip, Chet Huntley turns that contrast into roast material, teasing Don Rickles with the affectionate exaggeration and show-business one-upmanship that defined the format.
