About this clip
Foster Brooks Roasts Jack Benny
Foster Brooks brings his famous “lovable drunk” routine to a roast of Jack Benny, slurring, stalling and losing his place while somehow landing every jab. The contrast is the joke: Benny was the master of the perfectly timed pause, and Brooks builds his whole act out of pauses that seem to go terribly wrong.
