About this clip
Alan King Roasts Jerry Lewis - Friars Club
Alan King was a stand-up comedian and frequent Friars Club participant, known for observational jokes and a rapid-fire delivery. Jerry Lewis was a comedian, actor and filmmaker known for his partnership with Dean Martin and his physical comedy.
In this clip, Alan King turns that contrast into roast material, teasing Jerry Lewis with the affectionate exaggeration and show-business one-upmanship that defined the format.
