About this clip

Foster Brooks Roasts Betty White

Foster Brooks was a comic actor whose signature “lovable drunk” routine turned slurred dignity, delayed reactions and mock seriousness into a classic roast persona. Betty White was a beloved television comedian and actress whose quick timing and long career made her a natural fit for celebrity comedy.

In this clip, Foster Brooks turns that contrast into roast material, teasing Betty White with the affectionate exaggeration and show-business one-upmanship that defined the format.
