LaWanda Page
Roasts Betty White

About this clip

LaWanda Page Roasts Betty White

LaWanda Page was a stand-up comic and actress best known as the outspoken Aunt Esther on Sanford and Son, with a fearless, cutting delivery. Betty White was a beloved television comedian and actress whose quick timing and long career made her a natural fit for celebrity comedy.

In this clip, LaWanda Page turns that contrast into roast material, teasing Betty White with the affectionate exaggeration and show-business one-upmanship that defined the format.
