Jack Benny
Roasts Ronald Reagan

About this clip

Jack Benny Roasts Ronald Reagan

Jack Benny was one of radio and television’s defining comedians, famous for exquisite timing and a comic persona built around vanity, stinginess and age jokes. Ronald Reagan was an actor and television personality before later entering public life.

In this clip, Jack Benny turns that contrast into roast material, teasing Ronald Reagan with the affectionate exaggeration and show-business one-upmanship that defined the format.
