About this clip

Jackie Gayle Roasts Ralph Nader

Jackie Gayle was a veteran nightclub comedian known for quick one-liners, an energetic delivery and frequent appearances on television variety and talk shows. Ralph Nader is a consumer advocate, author and public figure whose reform campaigns and serious public image made him an unusual but recognizable comedy target.

In this clip, Jackie Gayle turns that contrast into roast material, teasing Ralph Nader with the affectionate exaggeration and show-business one-upmanship that defined the format.
