About this clip

Redd Foxx Roasts Carroll O'Connor

Redd Foxx was a groundbreaking stand-up comedian and television star best known for Sanford and Son, with a sharp, fearless comic style. Carroll O’Connor was the acclaimed actor best known as Archie Bunker on All in the Family, a role that made him one of television’s most recognizable stars.

In this clip, Redd Foxx turns that contrast into roast material, teasing Carroll O'Connor with the affectionate exaggeration and show-business one-upmanship that defined the format.
