About this clip
Ruth Buzzi Roasts Frank Sinatra
Ruth Buzzi was a comedian and actress best known for Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In, especially her frumpy, purse-swinging Gladys Ormphby character. Frank Sinatra was a legendary singer and actor whose style, fame and larger-than-life public image made him an irresistible roast target.
In this clip, Ruth Buzzi turns that contrast into roast material, teasing Frank Sinatra with the affectionate exaggeration and show-business one-upmanship that defined the format.
