About this clip
George Burns - Man of the Week
George Burns was a vaudeville veteran, comedian and actor whose dry timing, cigar and self-deprecating delivery kept him a star for generations.
The clip uses the familiar roast format—mock praise, exaggeration and carefully aimed jokes—to turn the featured subject into the evening’s comic target.
