About this clip

Jack Klugman Roasts Don Rickles

Jack Klugman was an Emmy-winning actor best known for The Odd Couple and Quincy, M.E., with a gruff, everyman style audiences instantly recognized. Don Rickles was the master insult comic whose rapid-fire put-downs made him a feared and beloved fixture at celebrity roasts.

In this clip, Jack Klugman turns that contrast into roast material, teasing Don Rickles with the affectionate exaggeration and show-business one-upmanship that defined the format.
