About this clip

Don Rickles Roasts Jack Klugman

Don Rickles was the master insult comic whose rapid-fire put-downs made him a feared and beloved fixture at celebrity roasts. Jack Klugman was an Emmy-winning actor best known for The Odd Couple and Quincy, M.E., with a gruff, everyman style audiences instantly recognized.

In this clip, Don Rickles turns that contrast into roast material, teasing Jack Klugman with the affectionate exaggeration and show-business one-upmanship that defined the format.
