About this clip
Foster Brooks Roasts Jack Klugman
Foster Brooks was a comic actor whose signature “lovable drunk” routine turned slurred dignity, delayed reactions and mock seriousness into a classic roast persona. Jack Klugman was an Emmy-winning actor best known for The Odd Couple and Quincy, M.E., with a gruff, everyman style audiences instantly recognized.
In this clip, Foster Brooks turns that contrast into roast material, teasing Jack Klugman with the affectionate exaggeration and show-business one-upmanship that defined the format.
