About this clip
Nipsey Russell Roasts Joe Garagiola
Nipsey Russell was a comedian and television regular celebrated for polished one-liners, quick rhymes and an urbane, mischievous delivery. Joe Garagiola was a former major-league catcher who became a popular broadcaster, television personality and genial comic foil.
In this clip, Nipsey Russell turns that contrast into roast material, teasing Joe Garagiola with the affectionate exaggeration and show-business one-upmanship that defined the format.
