About this clip

Rich Little Roasts Truman Capote

Rich Little was a master impressionist famous for uncannily mimicking presidents, actors and television personalities, often turning voices themselves into punch lines. Truman Capote was the celebrated author of Breakfast at Tiffany’s and In Cold Blood, as famous for his distinctive voice and social presence as for his writing.

In this clip, Rich Little turns that contrast into roast material, teasing Truman Capote with the affectionate exaggeration and show-business one-upmanship that defined the format.
