Don Rickles
Roasts Dean Martin

About this clip

Don Rickles Roasts Dean Martin

Don Rickles was the master insult comic whose rapid-fire put-downs made him a feared and beloved fixture at celebrity roasts. Dean Martin was a singer, actor and effortlessly relaxed television host whose celebrity roast specials became a showcase for famous comics and entertainers.

In this clip, Don Rickles turns that contrast into roast material, teasing Dean Martin with the affectionate exaggeration and show-business one-upmanship that defined the format.
