About this clip

Jack Carter Roasts Monty Hall

Jack Carter was a fast-talking nightclub and television comic known for aggressive timing, topical jokes and a sharp-edged roast style. Monty Hall was the energetic television host best known for Let’s Make a Deal, where his quick wit and audience interaction became part of the show’s identity.

In this clip, Jack Carter turns that contrast into roast material, teasing Monty Hall with the affectionate exaggeration and show-business one-upmanship that defined the format.
