Roasts Don Rickles

About this clip

Cliff Robertson Roasts Don Rickles

Cliff Robertson was an Oscar-winning actor whose career ranged from serious drama to television and major studio films. Don Rickles was the master insult comic whose rapid-fire put-downs made him a feared and beloved fixture at celebrity roasts.

In this clip, Cliff Robertson turns that contrast into roast material, teasing Don Rickles with the affectionate exaggeration and show-business one-upmanship that defined the format.
